ACTI-VOC PLUS

ACTI-VOC PLUS™ is a robust, fast-flow sampling pump kit designed for sampling volatile organic compounds (VOCs) onto sorbent tubes for analysis via thermal desorption (TD). With an expanded flow range compared to the ACTI-VOC series, ACTI-VOC PLUS is the ideal choice for sampling semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs), where required sampling flows are in the range of 300–500 mL/min.

The device allows for the sampling of precise air volumes in constant-flow mode (20–500 mL/min). Long battery life ensures stable performance for over 8 hours. The pump is programmable and allows for the recording of sample data. A dedicated carry-case protects the pump from damage during storage and transport. Users can replace the filters and battery themselves to minimize downtime during maintenance.

Each ACTI-VOC PLUS kit includes:

- Back-pressure adapter for low-flow sampling (20–100 mL/min)

- Luer adapter for connecting to DNPH cartridges

- CapLok tool

Using ACTI-VOC PLUS in combination with multi-bed sorbent tubes allows the full power and versatility of thermal desorption (TD) to be realized: analytes across a wide volatility range (from approximately C2/3 to n-C44) can be sampled simultaneously and analyzed in a single analytical run.

The intuitive interface with a user-friendly keypad offers a simple experience and minimizes training efforts. The device is intrinsically safe (ATEX-approved) and can be programmed to start sampling at a chosen time with a pre-set duration and flow rate, providing flexibility for unattended monitoring. Data from up to 16 sampling events can be stored on the pump for subsequent reference or recording.

In constant-flow mode, ACTI-VOC PLUS automatically compensates for different tube impedances, ensuring constant flow rates are maintained as back-pressure varies, which minimizes calibration effort and setup time.

The pump features a long battery life with an on-screen charge indicator and can be fully charged in less than four hours. The device is compatible with thermal desorption tubes in constant-flow mode up to a maximum of 500 mL/min. With Markes’ SafeLok tubes, ACTI-VOC PLUS can also be used in constant-pressure mode for alternative applications, up to a maximum of 5 L/min.
